Golden State Warriors Klay Thompson Introduced to the Harlem Globetrotters’ 4-point shot

Amazing 4-Point Shot

Golden State Warriors Klay Thompson was introduced today the Harlem Globetrotters’ 4-point shot in a video.

When asked if the 4-point shot can work in the NBA, Thompson joked, “I think it would really only benefit us.”

As the Globetrotters prepare for their new world tour and games in the Bay Area in January, the Warriors invited Zeus McClurkin and Dizzy English to Downtown Oakland.  The video and the accompanying music – courtesy Harlem Globetrotters – provide added insight on the 4-pointer from Thompson and head coach Steve Kerr.

“Amazing Feats of Basketball”

The Harlem Globetrotters will bring their “Amazing Feats of Basketball” World Tour to the Bay Area for five games from Jan. 13-21, with games at Oracle Arena and SAP Center.  They will continue their tour in California with games in Los Angeles, Anaheim, San Diego, and more in February.  A full schedule of games worldwide is available at www.HarlemGlobetrotters.com.

Starting in early 2017, the Globetrotters debuted basketball’s first-ever 4-point line, a move that comes six years after the team unveiled the 4-point shot to worldwide acclaim. The 4-point line is located 30 feet from the basket – 6 feet, 3 inches beyond the top of the NBA’s current 3-point line. The Globetrotters previously used a four-point circle, two on each side of the court, to designate a four-point shot since they first introduced it in 2010.

The Harlem The Globetrotters  give back

The Globetrotters will return to California to give back to local communities prior to their games.
