Bitcoin Registers its Domain Name
Did you know that Bitcoin.com domain name was registered 10 years ago on August 2008 and that year on 31 October of the same year, a paper authored by the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto titled Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System was posted to a cryptography mailing list?

What is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is a virtual currency that uses Blockchain technology for secure payments and storing money electronically, without requiring a bank or a person’s name. Satoshi Nakamoto created this cryptocurrency back in 2009 after the domain registration in 2008. The smallest unit of Bitcoin is also known as a satoshi.
Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used by the person or the group of persons who first designed, created and brought to the world the cryptocurrency and the blockchain database. Throughout the years, there have been many speculations and theories about who it may be but as of now, the identity behind the name remains a mystery.
The appeal to Bitcoin is that it’s not under control of banks, central authority, government or private company, making it transaction fees. It can be used for all kind of online transactions ranging from purchasing all kind of products online to booking flights, rental cars, and hotel reservations, paying for a meal at a restaurant and buying gas.
As of now, there are 2015 Bitcoin ATMs in 61 countries around the world and about 5.8 million users that have digital wallets. According to Coindesk, today’s Bitcoin (USD) Price is $11,592.784.05%.
