Hot Dog! The Wienermobile is Coming to a Town Near You!

As part of its annual “coast-to-coast wienie roast,” and its missions to drive miles of smiles across, the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be cruising the hot dog highways of California from Wednesday, November 11th until Sunday, November 15th.

The American icon dates back to 1936, when Oscar Mayer’s nephew Carl pitched it as a way to lift the spirits of Americans during the Great Depression.

Today, that same mission is carried out by Hotdoggers, young men and women hired to drive the Wienermobile across the country as brand spokespeople. Once they’ve proven they can cut the mustard, Hotdoggers will visit dozens of states and travel tens of thousands of miles spreading what Oscar Mayer calls “miles of smiles.”

While in the area, our goal is to help give back to the community. We will be participating in fundraisers to bring joy to as many people as possible and leave an impact!

“It’s important for our hotdogger team to give back to every community we visit. In the past, we’ve teamed up with homeless shelters for hot dog lunches and delivered routes with meals on wheels. We know that Salinas, Santa Cruz, and Monterey have had a tough time recently and we’re thrilled to bring joy to the community and to be a part of Meals on Wheels Salinas and fundraisers that will help Liam get a guide dog, help a volunteer fire department, help a cheer gym, and the Aromas Park raise money.”

Additional information can be found here, on the brand’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages, or on the free Wienermobile app. You can ketchup with the hotdoggers on our Instagrams: Mayochup Molly and Saucy Spence.
